Professor Morgül has born in a small village of Pazar, Rize, Turkey, at the
Black Sea side. After the primary school he moved to Istanbul and he continued
his education there. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University in 1970 and
got his PhD degree in 1981 from the same university.He joined Bogazici University after a one year post doc. research in the
University of Edinburgh and he has been a full time academic staff there, since
then.
Professor Morgül's research is concentrated on high frequency, microwave and satellite communication electronics, analog IC design, electro-magnetic compatibility and biologic effects of EM signals. He is consulting companies manufacturing Satellite TV receivers and RF equipment, directing the research in R&D departments. He also directs several research projects based on analog RF system, IC design and digital signal and picture processing for communication systems.
He is member of IEEE, IET(Formerly IEE), Chamber or Turkish Electrical Engineers (EMO), Turkish Radio Amateurs Society (TRAC).
Dr. Morgül is married and has 4 children. He likes swimming, playing table tennis, taking photographs and listening classical music. |
