Since 1990, she is with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
where she is currently a full professor. Since then Dr. Ertüzün has taught
courses on Basic Electrical Engineering, Signals and Systems, Digital Signal
Processing, Digital Filters, Adaptive Filter Theory, Spectral Estimation,
Statistical Signal Analysis, Communication Theory, Statistical Communications,
Digital Communicaitons, Information Theory and Independent Component Analysis.
She has been supervising both M. S. and Ph.D. theses in the areas of Signal and
Image Processing. She has been affiliated with the Boğaziçi University Signal
and Image Processing Laboratory (BUSIM) and Intelligent Systems Laboratory
(ISL). She also collaborates with the Boğaziçi University Kandilli Observatory
and Earthquake Research Institute.
She has recently involved in various projects related to the applications of Independent Component Analysis, Dependent Component Analysis, Bayesian techniques and Particle filters to seismological signals, communications and robotics. She has authored and co-authored nearly 70 scientific papers in journals and conference proceedings. She was a technical committee member of EUSIPCO 2005 and organizing committee member for EMBS 2001 and NSIP 99.
She is a member of IEEE Signal Processing and Communication Societies, IAPR –International Association of Pattern Recognition, IEICE – The Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers and TOTIAD – Turkish Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Society.
Research interests: independent component analysis and its applications, blind signal processing, Bayesian methods, wavelets and adaptive systems with applications to communication systems, image processing, texture analysis and robotics. |
